EAS approached us to produce and install some new signs for their offices & hanger at Gloucestershire Airport. They provide private jet services and wanted to make a statement with some larger than average signage!
They had recently merged 2 companies (the other based at Farnborough) to become part of the 51 North Aviation Group. With a brand new logo design and a deadline to meet, they were ready to go, as they had arranged a launch party!
With an initial site visit we discussed all the possibilities that would be appropriate for their logo and building. It soon became clear that they wanted to go large! The front of the hanger had a huge set of sliding doors across the face, but above this was a nice apex measuring 4 metres deep at the centre. The EAS logo would fit in there a treat, with a cap height of 2 metres these 3 letters were going to be huge.
There was also a requirement for a 5 metre wide panel at the side of the building which would be the first thing that visitors and clients would see as they approached the hanger. At the entrance we also produced a 3 metre wide logo panel and a service board next to the front door.
Their large car parking area needed some identity too, so we created 15 parking signs, which not only looked smart, but were guides to individual spaces. Inside, the offices had a selection of window and door safety and information signs.
As the installation day approached, they decided that they would really like to put some extra large banners up in the hanger, not only for the launch party, but to dress the hanger with their new corporate branding.
This meant we had to produce four 5 metre wide PVC banners and install them too. All the exterior signage would take us a full day to fit, so we returned the night before the launch and installed the banners ready for the party the next day!
The tech spec was as follows:
- 2 metre tall aluminium fret cut letters in gold with a black edge
- All the sign panels were gloss black ACM dibond with cut vinyl text in gold
- Cut vinyl graphics and text applied to windows, & foamex signs for the doors
- Heavy duty printed PVC banner with hemmed edges & eyelets
- The installation required a scissor lift with an 8 metre working height for the EAS logo.
- The panels were fitted using our own scaffold tower, as were the banners.
“Working with Martin and his team was a great experience. Not only did they produce and fit bold large scale signage, they managed it all in a very short time scale. We truly appreciated their dedication and effort to finish the job prior to our launch party. I would be more than happy to recommend Martin and his team. “
