Paul & Michael at Gateway Antiques wanted to replace all their existing signage with something similar, but with a more modern, clean and fresh design. At their shop and showroom in Burford there were a lot of long facias to replace, as well as two roadside panels next to the A40.
We started out by offering several font design styles with a classic modern feel. We played with upper and lower case options too, once we had narrowed down the field. When we had decided on the final font style, we submitted a complete set of artworks for approval. Along with the new font, we had also redrawn their stylised ‘landscape’ logo, which featured on several of the panels.
All the panels were fixed directly to the existing wooden facias, which Paul & Michael had cleaned, repaired, and repainted themselves. The facias were surrounded by a wooden frame, and our signs fitted perfectly within the spaces. The longest facia was just under 12metres, which we produced in 4 sections.

The roadside panels were fitted directly to some new pre-treated marine ply which they had made to measure in their workshop. We had produced 7ft wide signs for the fronts, and 4ft wide signs which were applied to the rear for parking information. We also produced 2 sets of A board signs which were fixed to existing wooden frames.
We used pre-coloured ACM dibond sheets with cut vinyl text applied to the face. The panel colour was almond and the text was dark green, a classic combination.

“After a long overdue revamp of signage we had a recommendation to use Blueprint Imaging Ltd . From day one we found them to be very professional in their advice on general layout , colours and font styles. Fitted in with our time frame with an end result which far exceeded our expectations.”
